The Crossroads of the West Costa Mesa gun show is going to take place at the Orange County Fair Grounds November 24-25, 2012. The hours of operation for the public are Saturday 0900 hrs to 1700 hrs and Sunday 0900 hrs to 1600 hrs.

The public display will be openned to participating CHG units. This is an official CHG sanctioned event and therefore, once ON SITE, members and vehicles are covered for liability and injury by the CHG insurance policy. This policy does NOT cover theft or damage to our vehicles/equipment so vehicle owners and those members displaying equipment should take the necessary precautions. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND having a unit member watching over each vehicle/display and "answering questions" to make sure nothing disappears from the display. Everything you bring you bring, as you know, you bring at your own risk to loss.

All CHG members wearing an impression will be admitted to the gun show free of charge during regular hours of operation. All members bringing weapons on site will have their weapons inspected at the gate and secured per gun show regulations. We will be issued a limited amount of vendor ID bracelets for those working before and after hours at the event as well as those who do not wish to be in uniform at the event. We need every unit display manned 100% of the time for the duration of the gun show.

All unit leaders to remind their members, particularly young/new members TO BE ON THEIR BEST BEHAVIOR if they are going to walk around the show in uniform. STANDING AROUND THE FRONT OF DISPLAY TABLES IN A MANNER THAT LIMITS PUBLIC VIEWING/ACCESS TO OUR DISPLAYS IS COUNTER PRODUCTIVE TO OUR MISSION GOAL AND WILL NOT BE TOLERATED THIS YEAR.

We want to put our best face forward in any public event and young members acting inappropriately or in an immature manner reflects on your unit, the CHG and the hobby. Any CHG member in uniform acting inappropriately will be asked to leave the show, be reported to their unit leader and may be recommended to the CHG board for sanction.

Any unit wishing to bring a soft skinned vehicle MUST contact me ASAP to make arrangements. Vehicles for display MUST BE ON SITE no later than 0800 hrs Saturday morning and may be brought onto site Friday from 1600 hrs until 1900 hrs.
